Allow venture ideas to be posted and rated/reviewed

As an entrepreneur, If I'm evaluating several venture ideas, it would be neat to be able to post a concept with description and slide deck/paper prototype of some sort. Then, users could vote on these and leave feedback. This would help either pick an idea or at least help eliminate some.

Create a home page for each region/city

A dashboard of activity in a given city/region would be great to see the latest ventures and needs being posted. Some other content could include a hiring/layoff track to keep track of how startup activity is impacting a local area.

For each venture, allow funding events to be tracked, not just last/current funding round. For the event track how much and which investors participated.

Track previous ventures/companies

Have you seen the Silicon Forest Universe poster produced by PSU, or similar ones from Corvallis? Envision how to translate that to track the history and begin to understand the family tree. Instead of producing a poster every 5 years, the tree could be a living thing constantly being updated.

Expand region selections beyond the US

Great ideas and start-up initiatives are not exclusive to the US. This site should expand geographic region options to Canada and, upon request, beyond (e.g., EU, Japan, China, etc.).
